I made this cake for my nephew's 1st birthday. They did a luau theme. Each tier has three cakes stacked. I carved into the top cake of each tier to give some dimension. Used BC frosting and crumbled vanilla wafers for the sand. The wafers added a nice flavor to the BC frosting. The flag is gumpaste, and the shells are chocolate. The beach ball is made using a ball pan and covered in BC. It was used as the "smash" cake. The board was covered in blue royal icing.
