My 4-year-old daughter wanted a puppy cake AND a kitten cake. The basket is 4 12-inch layers of chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse and carved to create the basket shape. Inside is an 8-inch cake, covered with pink fondant to make a cushion. The basket handles are gumpaste painted with melted semi-sweet chocolate. The kitten and puppy were pieced together from various pieces of lemon cake: reg. and mini cupcakes, mini ball pan etc. They are covered in buttercream fur. Basketweave is choc buttercream
