Thank you all, I had the idea (for the colors) from my own wedding dress which had an ivory sash..and the roses I modeled after my favorite rose.. yellow with red tips.
I never could get the effect by mixing colors or painting, so I made a yellow roses then sprayed them lightly with red color mist, I experimented with moist and dry fondant and didn't find much difference in the outcome, just spary lightly or it will pool and run. Also, hold it kind of far away or it will over saturate and turn the whole rose, you just kind of have to experiment to get the effect you want. I also found it helped if I held the roses upside down while spraying them from the side.
This cake is so pretty and your flowers are beautiful.
Thank you very much :D
The colors in your roses are so beautiful! You did a nice job on the whole cake ;-D
You did a fabulous job! I love the colour of your cake and roses, they go so well together!

I love your color scheme. How did you get the two tone roses with fondant? I confess, I've thought about trying that myself, but how?
