I'm not normally a fan of cupcake cakes but this one really does look great. The boa on the outside finishes it off very nicely.

critique member: this CC is too cute! I have never seen one like this and I like it! I think I could live without all the tissue paper around it (?) and I think the boa would've looked cute it it went all the way around and was not as thick. I think you've done a really great job here for a 1st time...I'VE never done one! :D

Thanks, everyone. Steponmi...the board was a disaster! DD picked a tissue paper to cover it, but it looked awful and clashed badly. So, I pulled it off. That left pieces of it stuck to the board and the ccs were already "glued" to the board. So, the crinkled look was all I could do to make the board half way decent. I also think another boa would have been great, but I couldn't find one anywhere! Anyway, I agree with your comments and thank you for your critique.

Critique subgroup member: I agree about the board, but nothing you could do about it. I think it's very cute. The only thing is it looks a little bumpy between the cupcakes? Maybe a stiffer BC would help or squishing the CC closer together.

critique subgroup member: very original idea!! again like others, not crazy about cake board, but when there are issues we have to improvise and you sure did that! I can only imagine how difficult frosting CC cakes must be, getting them little buggers to sit still and in the shape you want! You did awesome!

Critique Subgroup Member: You did a good job, especially considering it was cupcakes and that it's all buttercream. I wouldn't have placed it on fabric or used the boa. I just don't like the idea of the boa near the cake. Too fuzzy. Very good for yoru first cake submitted to CC, especially since this was NOT an EASY cake to do.

WOW! I love it. The thing that I think I like the most is the bumpyness of the guitar. Makes it "fun" and cartoonish looking. I'm not crazy abot the boa, but maybe if it were all the way around I would like it better. Keep in mind, I'm no professional, but I like your tissue paper. Kinda looks like padding in a guitar case...LOL .
