Stack Of Books
This was for my son's teacher for her birthday (the title of the top book was a play on her name). A big thank you to Leily for all the help and advice on where to begin making a stack-of-books cake!!! It was a really fun cake to make!

Cutest darn cake!!! I'd like to do one too. Just another helpful idea for your next one...cut a hole in your fondant to stick your worm parts into, it might make them look like they're inside the cake more? Just a thought. Did you lay the 2nd layer fondant down, set the 2nd cake on top, then pull the fondant over top to cover? It looks so perfect!
Thanks for that tip about worm placement Delynn--that's a great idea! As for covering the 2nd book, I covered the whole book using vinyl to help me wrap it around the book smoothly and then moved it on top of the 1st book--I had trouble doing that--the fondant was sliding around. I think I'll try your way next time...
