the cake was made using the 3-d bear pan . I cut off ears ( keep these) . I trimmed iff the arms on belly. I used 1 wilton plastic cake dowel ( cut in half , one for each arm) , and inserted into the sides of bear. I also trimmed off the bears nose. I then covered the cake with red buttercream frosting leaving the sections of blue and white bare. I also covered the wilton dowels with butter cream icing and capped the top with the bear ears

contd.. I then coverered cake with red icing, leaving the eyes uncovered and blue as well . That would be entered later. I smoothed icing as much as I could and put in fridge for about 5-10 min and then used viva aper towel method to smooth cake. I then used red food coloring spray to give the red a little better color. After that I filled in the blue and the white. The weebbing was made mixing piping gel and black food coloring. I did a search for baby spiderman online ,and found my guide for web : )

Great job! I'm doing a Spiderman cake this week, and have gotten so many ideas from CC that I'm not sure which direction I'm going yet. I'd love to know how you did this if you don't mind sharing. :)
