Moon & Stars Wedding Cake
This was inspired by a figurine I saw. The cake was originally designed for a cake competition, but I did re-create it for a wedding. The fun part was getting the fondant that dark blue! The moon was formed in a soap mold I found at a craft store. The best compliment I received from doing this cake was from other decorators using it as inspiration. The next year at the same competition I was a judge ... and someone used my design for an entry! LOL Thanks for looking.
Too weird...I will be creating a Cowboys cake with a blue star and that color fondant. Did you purchase the fondant that color or color it yourself? I'll be making marshmallow fondant. Beautiful job on the cake- I can only hope mine will come out that well!
