Spring Burst

Spring Burst on Cake Central

This is one of the caks I did for the Catital Confectioners That Takes the Cake Show in Austin, TX this weeked. This cake was entered under novelty tiered. It is done in fondant with fondant cut outs and fondant appliques. I also piped the dash marks with royal icing. The bow is gumpaste. This cake was inspired by some scrapbook paper that I found. I am so excited! I took first place for this cake and also won best in class for the intermediate cakes.

I love it! It does look like scrapbook paper too. My son thought you had gift wrapped the cake. Bravo many many times over

I saw this at the show also, and I took a couple of pictures of it. Congratulations on your win. I wish I knew which cake belonged to which person while I was there I would have complimented you then.

Congratulations! It's awesome! I love the plaid, but I think my favorite part is the bottom tier and how it extends to the cake plate!
