it's actually a mini-cake (almost life-size). i cut a 8" round into quarters, shaped the pieces to look like hearts, sliced in half, dug out a pit for the "blood", smeared everything with buttercream, put some raspberry jam "blood" in the pit, pieced everything back together and covered with fondant. then rolled out the veins and vessels. ok, maybe it sounds easier than it was, but by the fourth one, i was on a roll!
welll, I am not antivalentne, but my husband is a nursing student and this would a great idea for his class. I will have to keep it in my favs for another time. Thanks for sharing and way creative!
