Yet Another Basket Of Flowers
Made this for my father's brother. He is also a Jesuit, religious brother. I didn't realise it was his 75th, so I just thought I'd stick with roses, his favourite flower. The roses are made from homemade almond marzipan. I was very happy with the way they held their shape. I used tooth-picks this time instead of floral wire to hold them in place, as I knew they were going to be heavy. I decided to make it bright and cheerful as the average age of the priests at the tea-party was around seventy.
I love the colors! Very well done. Saving in my favorites.
It's fantastic. One I would hate to cut into cause it's so beautiful.
