Snow Wolf

Snow Wolf on Cake Central

carved white cake with buttercream icing and fondant nose/eyes. It's for an 18th b-day for a guy who is fixing to go study them over the summer. Critique subgroup member, so any comments are welcome :)

Critique subgroup member: Oh I love him, love, love, love him! What a great stylized wolf. I don't think I could cut into him though....

Critique group member: You did an amazing job! My only critique is that the tail looks a little thick, everything else is really great!

Critique subgroup member: The coloring is great. His eyes and nose are perfect. His body seems a little disproportionate to me. His back leg needs more definition and more separation from the tail (maybe you did this and it's the angle of the pic. that is making it hard to see.) Also, his front paw looks a little square, but maybe their paws are shaped that way. I don't know much about wolves. All in all, a really good recreation.

Critique Group Member: Awesome job! Those eyes look so good. Other than proportions (which have already been mentioned) I can't add any other critiques. I bet he was surprised and thrilled over this cake.

critique group member: Wow! That's pretty cool! I like the way the fur varies in colors. I can't really find anything wrong with it.

critique group member: this is fantastic. your use of colors and texture give this a very real appearance. I'm not sure if it's just the photo but his hind leg looks a bit short and his tail looks a bit thick. Fabulous cake !

critique subgroup member: Great job! very realistic job on the face. Think maybe the proportions of the body to the size of the head may be off, though I am certainly no expert on wolves.
