Fantastic cake! I love that the crest is in fondant; I really like the 3D effect, esp the way you folded in the ribbon that says Jay. Cool, cool cake, and love the color combo too. It really looks like you can pick it up, flip open the top and have a sip!

Critique subgroup member: I have only one critique, just the silver trim at the top is a bit uneven but hey, the whole thing is magnificent. Fantastic job making it actually look like silver/pewter!

I'm impressed with every detail. The handle is perfectly shaped, and I love the way you layered the top... Well done~!

What a great idea for a groom's cake! You've done an excellent job (I always struggle to get a nice smooth luster dust appearance, so I am impressed by the silver).

critique subgroup member: BEAUTIFULLY DONE!! (as is all your work!) the only thing I can see it that the band of silver around the bottom and top are not quite straight.

on

Critique Group Member: Just kidding. I couldn't resist  . Anyway, how can I critique something so near perfect? I'll agree with the other critiques but I'll leave it at that.

Critique Subgroup Member: It looks a little short, you should be able to put more liquids in it :) Just kidding! It is amazing, what kind of supprt did you have to put in it so it would not sink under the weight of the layers? I love the silver and the red they are very strong colors and go well together. Beautiful job

My (almost) 2 year old son hit the enter key before I was done with my critique...The only thing I notice is that perhaps the silver around the top and bottom of the stein are not completely straight, but that's being picky! Wonderful overall presentation.

Critique group member: Tiptop57 - you make this critique thing very difficult - your creation is fantastic! But I'll try anyway - the edge of the silver lid and the bottom band appear uneven (maybe this is the effect you were trying for (?)). Besides that it is perfect (the crest, the scrolls, etc...).

critique group member: Well, Tiptop, I tend to be quite picky for you because your cakes are hard to critique. Yet I know you truly want feedback, so I try to really really critique. That being said, I have NO critique for this cake. Sorry. It is just perfect. It looks so real. It is perfectly executed and displayed. Fantastic! Hats off to you!

Okay, i'm gunna be as picky as i can possibly be. (and i already feel guilty about it, cuz this is beautiful!) The scroll to the left of the crest looks like a Wilton scroll press. then the one on the right looks like you just tried to reverse it. It is kinda shaky. AAND thats all i've got. again, AWESOME work!

Critique subgroup member: This is awesome! It's just perfect in my opinion. I love the silver, the handle, the crest, the detailing...everything! Perfection!

Wow, awesome work as usual! Ever so impressive!! If you want a critique the only thing I could find (while looking really closely, mind you, is that maybe the edge where the top of the stein (silver part) meets the body of the stein (white part) could be a little straighter. But that's nitpicking! I would love to be able to have done this just the way it is and I would have been extremely proud.
