Buttercream with fondant bow, royal icing snowflakes. My first attempt at snowflakes and a bow, I'm happy about them. Buttercream was a mess, didn't crust, oh well.

Beautiful cake and gorgeous bow!
Did you have some sort of pattern for the snowflakes? Did you let them dry on say, wax paper, and then transfer them? I'm not brave enough to try that myself, but I sure like the way they look. You did an excellent job, buttercream and all!!!!
I wanted to do a cake similar to this one for my families dinner. I opted out. My bow fell apart. You did an excellent job on the bow!
