Christmas Candle
Thank-you sweetsbyI for posting you beautiful candle cake to inspire me! My cakes never turn out as great as I hope. They always look lumpy, cracked, leaning in all my pictures. They always look better in person. Oh well. At least my friends were impressed, they did not even know it was a cake-they thought it was a candle! It was 3-6" rounds stacked. Covered in fondant and attatched a ribbon.
Beautiful, great job, I understand your friends, it's difficult to say if it is a candle or a cake.
Your cake is beautiful! I was having a problem with the fondant lookin bumpy, then I was told to chill the cakes, and use less filling and also chill before adding the next layer. And dowell your cakes if they are more than 4" high! It really does look just like a candle!! :D
