Mum's Roses
For my mum's 65th birthday party, my very first attempt at using roses on a cake. Iced in BC, all flowers in BC also. Totally inspired by merissa (I'm a big fan, your flowers are beautiful, thank you for sharing your pics). Thanks everyone for looking :)
Thank you for the compliments :). There were numerous false starts on those roses, and (I'm a bit ashamed to admit :oops: ) quite a bit of swearing from me while making them. I spent an several hours making formless blobs that were supposed to be roses, before finally managing to produce 6 half-decent ones. Worth it tho', my mum loved it :D
I love merissa's cake too. You did an amazing job for a first attempt at roses and your other flowers look perfect. I love the vibrant colors against the chocolate.
Just beautiful - can't believe your first time at roses. The colors are great and that chocolate BC looks so good.
