Totm Fairy Cake With Dragons

this is my first attempt at using BC icing and playing around with gum paste. I've only used fondant before. Everything on the cake is gumpaste and some things are brushed with a little gold to give some sparkle. It was SOOOOO much fun!

...not sure what happened...as I was saying...there's a lot to see here. Your sculptures are, once again, wonderful. I think I see a crumb or two on the side, so maybe thicker icing. With all there is to look at, few would notice a crumb!

your fondant modeling is great. The cake is a bit busy for me and i think the topper is a bit to large for the cake itself. I also would have used a different color for the cake.

Critique group member: Wow! Your figures are amazing! My only critique is that the bluey gray and green icing clash and it really bothers me! I also agree the board ios out of place and the sprinkles are unessisary (sp?). Overall you did a great job!

Oh - I can see the dragon perfectly - and yes, he is fun looking. I think the cake would be nicer with less grass - would bring more attention to these fantastic figures.

First let me say you have fantastic modeling skills and you are very talented. Everything on this cake is modeled wonderfully. But for me this cake composition needs work because it seems to much for the size and the grey icing bothers me. And dang it, the ugly cake board is back.

Critique Group Member: Very cool cake. Not only are your modeling skills incredible, so are your facial painting skills. I wish I could do that. It's usually me getting fussed at for the cake boards    but I'll have to agree with Tiptop, this one needs to go. As for my critique, the sprinkles take away from the awesome design. I would prefer to see that area piped with RI and painted with Luster Dust. You definitley have the talent for it.
