High School Musical 2
This was a cake I made for a HIgh School Musical 2 premiere party/ birthday. The girls at the party thought it was "the coolest". It was buttercream with a laminated image and fondant and royal icing accents.
I tried putting a link in my comments, but it won't work so in case you want it here it is: http://www.entertainmentwallpaper.com/images/desktops/movie/hsm2.jpg
That is really cool!! The musical notes around the border are great. You did a really nice job!
I love how you put the music notes around the border! Such a fun looking cake!
Critique group member: Love the concept, but did you say laminate? Was it edible? PM Stedytohands in our group she does the most wonderful edible transfers. I love the notes and twos scattered about. I just thinking this might have worked better on a square or rectangle cake. Oh dear, another ugly cake board taking away from all your hard work.
I think I might have to do the same with laminating a pictures. Can you tell me where you go such a good picture to have laminated? ([email protected])

Critique group member: Terrific design! One of the brightest edible images I've seen (did you have it professionally done or your own printer?). Yep - love the notes; you do some nice RI work.
Thanks, the image wasn't edible, it was laminated. I can't afford a printer yet and the person didn't want to pay the $8 to have a store print me one so we went with what we had.
critique subgroup member: Great idea! love the notes! but it all appears too crowded. The top border should have followed the round lines of the cake and not the square picture. Again I agree, the board should have been covered. Great job on piping bottom border, nice and even!
Critique group member: I love the music notes and twos all around the cake! Was the transfer edible??
8O You used laminate?! OMG! The sins of the world! Lol. Frankly, I think using laminate was a great way to improvise. I don't particularly like the way the edible pictures taste. I'm using this design idea for my sister's bday cake. She'll love it! Great job!
