Gumball Machine

Gumball Machine on Cake Central

Oh I am SOOO not happy with this cake. This is for Fall Festival Auction at school. Everything went wrong with the decorating aspect. Fondant gave me fits...NOT a easy cake to do in my opinion, but it's done! 4 layers, torted and filled with chocolate chip dark chocolate buttercream and iced with a raspberry bc and topped off with fondant. GP details. This cake is as sturdy as they come though. Never moved in Delivery even with the GLASS bowl lol. Thanks jkalman for all your help and inspiration! :)

Thank you for your lovely comments. I stablized the bowl by using dowells and a cardboard round. This was actually a GLASS bowl to boot because I couldn't find a plastic one. It was dowelled heavily 4 times each layer then a center dowell going through the whole thing.

You are officially insane. How could you not be happy with this?! Whatever challenges your fondant gave you, you BEAT it in the end - looks fantastic! I love your dispensed-gumball at the bottom - that little holder is the perfect extra detail. Amazing!

It looks great. It perfect! I can't believe you traveled with the glass bowl on top on the cake. I wasn't that brave with my gumball cake.
