Blueberries And Pirouette Cookies

This is a double layer 10" doctored yellow cake. It is iced in buttercream, and filled with blueberry pie filling mixed with buttercream. The top is more pie filling and fresh blueberries. The sides are adorned with Pirouette cookies. I made it for my great-granddaddy's 89th birthday. He has blueberry bushes in his back yard and we have fond memories of picking them with him.

That is a gorgeous cake!!!! The blue color theme you have for the cake, ribbon, cake plate, blueberries - it just catches the eye! I'm so anxious to try your idea - thanks so much for sharing!!!
