Nursing Student Book - We Need A Break Cake

THANKS to everyone who help with contruction of book cakes-even though cake ended up being only one book. Did for my DD who is a nursing student. The book is 8x10x4"high double layer-one layer triple chocolate, other white chocolate. Covered with BC. Scanned her actual book, and covered with edible image. Stethascope,nurse cap, bandaids, needle&syringe, pills are gum paste. Notebook paper is edible image sheet.

this is amazing. i love the torn paper bookmark - looks like what i used for bookmarks when i was in college! your attention to detail is incredible!

Do I ever remember the theme of that cake!? Great job! I always said if I never saw FON again, I'd be okay! It makes it great that it was on a cake!

this is incredible. I too thought it was a real book. Ok..now you need to do a tutorial on this or email me directions. I would love to do this cake for my orientee in Nursing...

Thanks everyone for the comments - it was a fun cake to make but nerve-racking with DD over my shoulder giving the technical details. Oh alanahodgson, her and her classmates will have no problem cutting this cake - I think at this point many would love to cut the actual book up LOL

Update! Just got call from DD - nursing class was completely in awe of the cake. Instructor even took time to call me - very impressed. Sure is good to hear from the receipents that they like the cake - now to continue in my "feel good all day - head in the clouds" :lol:
