Thanks. I just dug around my kitchen and bought some cheap vases from Michael's and saw which looked the best. The kitchen bowl won :) FYI: mold on the outside of the bowl and lots of powdered sugar works well, grease or grease and saran wrap do NOT! :)
Thanks all! The cakes are contructed as per the tutorial here on cc. For the teacup I molded heavily powdered sugared gumpaste over a bowl I had in the kitchen (tried both grease and saran wrap, neither worked), formed the handle and let them both dry. Then I piped royal for the details, attached the handle with royal, and sprayed all over with super pearl. It is attached to the cake with royal. I used the mold bowl to press a dent in the cake first to give it a better place to rest.
this is beautiful how did you do it how can u put the cakes like if is going to fall, i love how the teacup came out plsss tell me how u did it plsssssss thank you so much
The cakes are assembled in the same way the tutorial on here says, and the teacup is gumpaste formed over a well-powdered-sugared bowl from my kitchen. The handle was formed separately and added with royal icing once dry.
Great job! how did you Layer the cakes on top of each other?
