Made this a few weeks ago for my 13 year old son. I used a madeira recipe but American kids seem to find it quite "stale". Any ideas for a moister cake which cuts easily??
It looks just like him. Was it done in all fondant? And how did you color around his mouth. I also use Duncan for everything but carved cakes. To Duncan Hines I add one egg and a box of instant pudding to each box made.
I use mixes too and then add extra flavoring, milk for water and sub the oil with apple sauce.
my fav character....brilliant job, and welcome to cake central ;)
D'oh! That is a nice looking cake - sorry that the kids didn't enjoy it...I use cake mixes for just about everything...
