Eyeball W/ Attached Optic Nerve
This cake was so cool! It was red velvet and i piped in some marshmallow gooey bursts so it looked really gross when you cut into it.

wow very very cool!!
I used the Wilton sports pan to get the circular shape. Covered the whole thing in butter cream and used rolled butter cream for the eye color and pupil. I then painted on some grains onto the blue to make it look a little more realistic. And for the bloody optic nerve i rolled fondant through my pasta maker and then rolled it again cutting it into spagetti. I then seperated it in 3 and braided it loosley. I then laid it out on the cake board. Then I boiled up some sugar and water with red food color and p
and poured it over the "nerve"... and placed the eyeball on top of it. I then finished it off with blood shot nerves running down the center - piping gel with red food color.
