I used fondant for cattail on spagetti, when you put the cattails in the cake be sure to get some coffee stir's. insert these into the cake where you want the cattail to go. the moisture from cake will cause it to become flimsey. the leaves are fondant also.Put these in after you deliver the cake because the will soften if in for a long time. Or you can wrap on a small kabob stick, & make it like a pick so the bottom of the leaf rest ton the top. I hope that helps. the reeds were furnished by the groom.
