I am Grand Re-Opening my home business after several years of the same website, logos and boring cake offerings...business is down so trying to attract new/more clientelle.   I am in the process of creating a new website, new business cards NEW look everything...I want a new fresh look as to what I am going to offer...In the past it has always been kids custom cakes with House WBH icing..In the middle of the cakes as well..nothing fancy...To be honest I am scared to use...
Stitches,   I find that very frustrating with them...I email them for prices and it is a week before they get back to me...and when they do...they don't answer the question I asked...Grrrr...I know about that pricing too....Last year I paid $26.00 for a pail of 5kg white decorrice Fondant..This year she tried to tell me it was $32.00..I told her I was not impressed by the huge markup....so she came back to me with $28.00..Go Figure....same back and forth about icing...
Brandisbakes,,That's exactly what I was wanting to hear..I order from Dawn foods and am considering their BR mix...I am just waiting for the rep to give me a cost....   Thanks
Some good ideas to ponder Ladies...I may have to give it more careful consideration......Thanks
I think I may start using the bulk chocolate cake mix from Dawn Foods...All I add is water, oil and eggs...which is the same as what I do now with BC mixes...   I am asking any business owners who use these bag bulk mixes your thoughts on them...       Good cost effective instead of individual mixes?   Is taste comparable?   Do you get more out of it amount wise?ex...50 boxed mixes to a bag of bulk?     Thanks once again!!
I've been getting a lot of inquiries lately asking if I  make gluten-free cakes/cupcakes...Normally I say no but how hard would it be to offer this??   Do I have to have separate stainless steel mixing bowls for the GF mixes?or can I just wash out my regular ones...   What can I expect in terms of taste/texture of gluten-free? I think I may just use the new BC mixes.   What would I charge for cupcakes each?..The mixes here are almost double the cost of a regular cake...
Thanks..I'll take a look..There are so many cakes out there that are round I wasn't sure....
I have an order for a 3D Little Einstein space ship but I am confused as to the actual shape..Is it round or oval??     Thanks to anyone who can help....     Laurel :-)
Yes...MotherofGrace...If you wouldn't mind Pm ing me the email address....That would be great!!
Hi There,     I want to buy a case of cupcake clamshells but every site I am recommended to or see on the web is in the US and the exchange rate, shipping and custom fees are way to expensive...Does any Canadian decoraters who have small businesses know where I can order from here in Canada??     Thanks  Laurel
