I just had a phone call for a Gothic cake and my mind hit a brick wall.
Does anybody have any ideas?
It's for a 12 year old boy and about 20 people.

My 14 year old is into this arena . So what specifics did they give you...what exactly is he into? Bands, just the dressing goth or what?

Dressing like it. The mother is into it too. She was thinking skulls, dragons....

If you type gothic into the galleries for a search they have some cool ones. Black roses first caught my eye, maybe that and a coffin. At his age that would seem cool, not his destiny as some are fearful of with much older bday cakes.

Don't forget the chains.

I saw a biker wedding cake posted somewhere recently, and I believe the bottom layer was black with flames around it, and draped chains with skulls connecting them. I think I saved it to my computer, but I don't recall where I got, or who did it. Just thought you could adapt that bottom portion to your goth theme.

I did a half-goth cake for my daughter and her friend. But mine was goth fairies, and callalilies.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Oooh, or maybe a dragon, on a coffin, accented with black roses. Sounds like you could have a blast with this cake once you get the design decided.

This is the link she sent me for a cake topper that she found to see if I could convert it.

I did search the galleries for gothic and got some ideas (really like the castles and dog collar ones). But it's for 20 people so most were way too much cake.

A skull cake with maybe a snake curled around would be neat. Or a coffin with blood red roses is appropriate. Maybe a skull laying beside coffin.

I found the picture I was talking about... it was done by someone here. Just search for "biker" if you want to see it. It's got a biker couple on the top of it.
