Overheard At A Party Last Night (A Refreshing Change)

Last night my husband and I went to a superbowl party with two of my cakes. They cut one of them immediately and while everyone was having a piece, I overheard conversations about cake. I couldn't wait to come here and post about some of the things I heard! Here goes:
"Boy, you can't get good cake at a grocery store!"
"Have you ever had a walmart cake? They're awful!"
"You get what you pay for!"
"It's not a bargain when you have to throw most of it out"
"If you want a good cake, you have to find someone who knows what they're doing and spend a little more"
I was so happy to hear this! It's nice to know that people "get it". I hope it brightened your day, too.
You're right, that was music to our ears. Now, did you take advantage of the opportunity, tell them you did the cakes, and then give them a business card or your telephone number?

That is so gratifying to hear, and well-deserved. Way to go, so happy you heard this positive feedback.
I did a wedding once where I was a guest and the other guest didn't know I was the one that did the cake. Standing in the buffet line I could hear all the nice things being said about the cake. What a good feeling.
That is great to hear, I hope you had your business cards for some flyers or at least a paper and pen.
I'm pretty sure they will want more of your delicious cake.
I let some friends drag me to a purse party this weekend. I really didn't want to go so I took my portfolio and cards with me. I even had a cake for my friend's birthday.
