Hi I hope this is in the right spot.
I found in the recipes the wedding cake recipe so I made it last night.
First it was so stiff like it needed a wet ingrediant. Second it didn't rise very much. Third it came out so hard and very heavy. Last it was so dry. icon_cry.gif
Anyone ever tried this one and get better results then I did? It is the one that calls for 7 eggs and sour cream.
Thanks.
I love this board you people rock thumbs_up.gif

Hi sbccakes!! icon_biggrin.gif Welcome to the CC!! I know you are going to love it here!! I have learned so much just for the short amount of time that I have been here.

It looks like to me (I'm not a expert or anything)....they forgot to list the milk in the recipe. Here is a link to a recipe on here called Classic White Cake II and it is yummy. Give it a try. icon_biggrin.gif

Hope that helps, ~Denise

Thank you Denise for the warm welcome.
I will give this one a try it sounds good. I am just looking for a scratch recipe instead of a box cake mix.
Thanks.
Happy baking.
Lisa
