Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if you can adhere fondant to Butter Cream Frosting? I am making a Halloween Cake and I am making a face on the cake & I want to use Fondant. The cake is coverd in Butter Cream. So will the fondant stick or will it fall off, since the face in on a side of the cake? I have never used both things together since I am pretty new to this. Thanks for your help thumbs_up.gif

I'm not sure on this one .. if you're using a crusting buttercream, maybe you could very, very lightly brush a little water on it and then adhere your fondant to it .. maybe some others who have done this could also offer some help icon_smile.gif

I usually use piping gel to attach fondant.

I let my buttercream crust over so I can get a smooth finish. Then I brush on a thin coat of piping gel on the top and the side sides.
