I keep seeing an ad for I think "Better Homes and Gardens" with a fish bowl looking cake on it. I really want to try to do it despite not having a reason to other than i want to! I'm trying to figure out what kind of pan they used to get the cake tall and wide. I first thought perhaps the ball pan trimmed (it was the flat sided type of fish bowl) then I thought perhaps then shaped a sheet cake pan and sat it on its side with some dowel rod supports.

Anyone see or try this cake?

Thanks!!
Dia

It's two rounds put together and set on end after slicing a straight edge on one side...

Well, while I wish I made her money, I like myself more than her as I think she's a bit snooty on her show. icon_smile.gif

I first saw that cake on the cover of WD but it didn't have the directions inside. They do have them online though...

That happens icon_smile.gif ...a way around it is to right-click on the cake pic, select properties and use that url.
