Does anyone know the best way to give a cake the appearance of clouds? I've seen several baby shower cakes in which the cake is bordered with what looks like fluffy white clouds. Does anyone know which tip would be used for this and also what the best type of icing would be? I originally thought buttercream, but then I was thinking it might need to be something lighter.

I use a 12 tip. Just load your bag and squeeze.

I did it similiar to what the pp said. I actually outlined the shape I wanted in a smaller tip then without any tip, just squeezed a cut bag to fill in using a loopy, bumpy type stroke. See my cloud cake.... http://www.cakegeek.com/images/cloudcake1_JPG.jpg
