I shall be making a red velvet cake shortly it will be a 12 inch square but I'm unsure of the amount quantities of the ingredients to use for a cake of this size, and the cooking time/temp, if any of you know it would be a great help.

i bake at 350 degrees here in the u.s. -- you will need approximately 14 cups of batter for each layer of your 12" square -- a typical recipe yields about 6 cups of batter -- i guess a cake mix yields about 5 cups of batter now -- so just do the math --

oh and the time is just bake it till it's done -- just too many variables to give a concrete time -- be careful to not open the oven door too many times --
