I've been asked to make a 40th cake for a woman including nursing, running, travel, family, martinis and "fierce, fabulous and forty".... I think that was all lol. I'm struggling with a cohesive look. I thought of making cake a generic pink cake and putting fondant accents of each thing but feels childish. Will be 2 or 3 tiers. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I did a similar cake several months ago. It was really hard to make it look cohesive. After it was done, I realized that if I had made the fondant decorations for each accent in the same color, it would have helped. For example, do all the symbols they want in gold and put them around the base of one of the tiers. Not sure that helps you any. and if you come up with another idea, please share! Thanks and good luck with your cake!
What about a fondant figure woman - wearing a nurses uniform and stethoscope but also bright running sneakers. The finish line ends at a beach with a giant martini in the "sand"
