Hey everyone!
I am a little confused about something. I'm making a candy drip cake covered in lollipops and candy. I was about to get started when I had a thought about the sticks of the lollipops! I don't know who's been touching them in the store! I want to clean them but I'm not sure what's the best way. Should I just wash them or wipe the sticks with vodka? A friend suggested I wrap them with glad wrap before putting them in the cake but I'm not sure that I should do that either. Thanks heaps in advance
I've never cleaned them, but I have inserted a straw in to the cake, then the loli stick.
Thank you for your idea ypierce82! Tgats really clever!
I think I might go ahead and clean them with some vodka as I want them to sit up tight.
Aldonza, my thoughts exactly!!! Ewwwww! lol!!!
Coffeelover77, I needed different sizes and the ones in bags are all the same size.
I just ended up wiping them with vodka! All was good!
Thanks everyone!
I would put them in straws anyway, when the lolly pops are pulled out they will be covered in cake and icing otherwise.
I used straws just to ensure the lollipops didn't fall over from being so top heavy - the straws helped to anchor them.
