Hi, I'm new at making fondant cakes. I've only done 1 cake so far using an online recipe for a dense type of cake. However now I'm looking to make one for my daughters birthday party and I really want a tastier and more moist cake (chocolate) I've made this recipe in the link below a couple of times with great success but never with fondant covering. Would anyone know if it's safe to do this cake with fondant? Would it hold? I would also use the same buttercream as shown in this recipe. Please help!

I also came across this recipe below as recommended on another page that they say can be used with fondant which is similar with slight differences in quantities used.
