Hey guys I need some advice please.

I am making a two tiered water color buttercream cake. I am using the upside down method for the first time because I want the sharp edges.

Now the top tier I'm doing a chocolate drip, but it's the bottom tier that I need advice on. What would look better.?Leave the top of the tier all white and just do water color on the sides.  Or should I do water color on the top as well, and how would I do that with the upside down method. Thanks in advance.

Ps: how I'm doing the watercolor is I'm putting dabs of different colors and smoothing it out.

The last I did I put the watercolor pattern on top as well. After you have flipped your cake back to the appropriate side just add a little bit of color and smooth it. You will already have your sharp corners, just stay inside the top when adding the color. You can chill it and remove anything you have pushed over the sides with a small knife.
