Hi guys

I'm attempting to make a 2 tier cake with a 10" and 12" pan. I thought I'd do a test run of the 12" tin and something has gone very wrong. These are new tins and i've never used anything this big/deep before. Tins are 3" deep.

From about 15 mins in I noticed a strange circle in the middle. By the end of cooking time it looks as if a cake cooked within my cake

We really need more information in order to help you.   Maybe give us the recipe you used - have you used that exact recipe before?  I have never used 3" deep pans.......in my opinion, they take much longer to bake and there is more chance of the center not getting baked enough......yet I know there are people on here to swear by them :)  I'm not sure the pans have any bearing on your problem - sounds to me more like a recipe problem but as I said, more info is needed.
