All the serving charts I've looked at are so different and they're mainly for even number cake tin sizes.

The chart to use is the Wilton wedding cake servings.   That is what most of us use as 'the industry standard' for a serving.  If memory serves me right a 9X4 round serves 32 and the 6x3" or 4" serves 15 or maybe it was 20 (?)

I sell that as 30 servings for a wedding cake.  Fewer, perhaps, for a birthday.

"Standard" servings that *most* go by is 42. The larger "Earlene" serving sizes is 30 servings.

NOTHING stops a client from ordering "more" cake or "larger" servings, just be sure your price and sizes (if being sold) are explained to the client as they compare prices.

It is not much different than a restaurant serving a cheeseburger, or a double cheeseburger. Doesn't the client want "generous" servings or "standard" servings?

Personally, some days, I feel like the 6" cake is "one" serving......lol.
