I just measured out some Sweetex for a BC batch and noticed that the Sweetex seems to have small lumps in it.  They're not hard or anything, just, well, clumpy.  I ran the mixer for a few mins with just the Sweetex in there and it doesn't seem to be smoothing out.

Anybody seen this before?  Any ideas?

I have never used Sweetex but I would think that it should not have lumps in it. Hopefully someone here who is an expert will have the answer for you about this. Will be following this to see what others have to say. I have always used butter along with crisco sticks in my frosting and have never had it lumpy!! I don't make enough cakes since it is only a hobby for me to have a whole tub full of sweeter.  This seems strange that your mixer would not blend out the lumps.
