First time poster here! Loving all the inspiration I find in these forums.
Quick question: I'm thinking of adding strawberry preserves or strawberry puree to a red velvet cake, and possibly omitting the cocoa. Any search for "Strawberry Red Velvet Cake" seems to only find recipes for strawberries on top of or between red velvet cake layers. But what I'm trying to do is see if I can't make the RVC itself strawberry flavored. The lack of recipes out there makes me wonder if it doesn't work with RVC, but does anyone have experience or an opinion?
