I need to make a cake that's sturdy/dense and will hold up well for carving/stacking. Most recipes I've found include sour cream, milk, buttermilk or butter but I can't use dairy. Anyone have any suggestions. I know I could just substitute for margarine, coconut yogurt or cashew milk but I fear it won't hold up the same. Anyone have experience with this?
