I'm experienced with cookies and a small amount for cakes.  What size pans would you recommend?  It's going to be a rustic style cake.  I'm so nervous because it's my first wedding cake!

Depends on if they want to keep the top tier for their anniversary.

Assuming round 2 layer tiers....

8-6 serves about 25-30

10-6 serves about 45

Thinking out side the box.....I suggest a single layer (2") for the 10", then a 3" tall 6".

A 7"/5" would serve about 22...if you have odd size pans.
