I have to bake and decorate very detailed cookies for this Friday, 6 dozen of them to be exact! I'm stressing out because I'm in school during the week, so I don't have all day to be spending time baking and decorating these cookies. With that said, how far in advance can I bake the sugar cookies? I need to make them several days in advance, but I'm worried they'll be crunchy and stale by Saturday morning which is when they will be eaten. Please Help!!

With my luck I've been able to bake and decorate the day before, I've never tried more than that. However for Christmas cookies, we bake cookies a month in advance and then freeze them and they always come out great at christmas

Definitely freeze them! A week in advance is no problem. You can decorate days in advance as well. Sugar cookies in my experience can go 2 weeks if they are well sealed.
