I made a crown out of quick isomalt. I added gold Americolor r brush color but it's just not bright enough. Can you paint isomalt?
i can't remember about paint but I know that edible ink markers work on it so that would potentially mean that airbrush color would too right -- just don't know how the alcohol would affect it if you add everclear vodka or lemon extract -- test whatever's left in the pot & come back & update please
best to you
what about some glitter?
it might start getting sticky -- i don't really know for sure other than that i guess -- but also if you paint it it loses the kinda clear isomalt-y effect kinda?
what if you added some pearls or jewels or something
I know this is an older post, but Icing Images came out with a new type of edible paper that works with isomalt. You can purchase the sheets blank and you can print on them or if you dont have an edible printer, Icing Images will print and ship you the image. The sheet is called the Simi Sugar Transfer Sheet and its created by Icing Images. This sheet handles high heat so it can even be put in to the oven and baked on with things like meringue. I hope this helps
