[postimage id="5007" thumb="900"]Hello everyone!

I'm still working on pricing for my fondant cake toppers, and I would love to get your input on what you would charge had you made the sculpture so I can get a feel for whether I'm on track or way off for the work I'm doing.

The picture is of a cake topper I did this week. She was approximately 6" by 9", so she was pretty big. She was also shipped to Michigan from Arizona.

Thank you all so much in advance for your feedback!

With shipping, $120.

That's about £50.00 GBP (roughly) Seems incredibly low. I don't know how much of that was shipping, but the cake and topper alone would be anything upwards of £100.00 GBP, that's a 6 inch cake and very detailed (and very nice) topper.

I know its boring but there are really good pricing matrix's and threads on here going back years which explain in detail how to charge in terms of time and materials. It's really the only way to work out if you are working for nothing or not. Best of luck x

yes but beyond that it's art -- it's very well done -- did you match a picture?

sure you charge for time and ingredients blablabla -- but this goes into a different realm -- $300 to $400 easy peasy -- when people draw your dog from a photo it's $120 easy peasy -- a 3-d sculpture is clearly worth several several times that

several several

Ugh! I definitely need to adjust my pricing!

Lol it was based on a reference picture, too![postimage id="5011" thumb="900"]
