Has anyone ever used the  Wilton Wonder Mold cake pan to make a ball cake?

No, I have the ball pan. I hope someone is able to give you the answers you are looking for.

Is it because you don't have or want to buy a ball pan?   Never considered doing it but I suppose it would be possible.  You would have to carve away the point and probably a bit of the bottom of the cake to make it round.

An oven safe pyrex bowl would probably be easier.

Thanks everyone.  I went and bought the ball cake pan.  I was just curious if you could use the wonder mold.
