Is there such a thing as white, cherry flavored, buttercream icing?? Client wants cherry flavored icing on her wedding cake but wants it white. Does anyone know if there is a clear cherry flavoring out there to purchase? TIA

don't know what color it is but you use very little -- it's super concentrated
Thanks for your reply. It has a dark pink color to it. I haven't seen any cherry extracts/flavorings that are clear. I was wishful that there might be one I'm overlooking.
it would be an artificial flavor most likely -- hey what if you cherry-fy the filling if the oil turns the icing pink and use a white icing for the outside --
i've over-iced, iced over chocolate before to make a cake all white -- that's an option too
you'd wanna pipe the second icing on to avoid mixing it up -- then smooth it out -- easy peasy
and i meant if you found a clear cherry flavor it would most likely be an artificial one but it also might taste great too -- never know --
hey what about a cherry liqueur splash in the cake? she probably already discarded the idea of a cherry cake -- and i'm not familiar with those types of liqueurs --
cinnamon liqueur tastes like toothpaste and dental work to me so it's likely cherry flavor booze would taste like cough syrup -- no es bueno
lemme know what you come up with
This link is for a clear natural cherry extract. I have not tried it myself, but it sounds like what you might be looking for. I would agree also with the suggestion to use LoRann (artificial) cherry flavoring. It is pink, but is so concentrated it may not significanty color your buttercream. I love adding liqueurs to frosting. they don't taste at all alcoholic, but add significantly to the flavor. Kirschwasser is a clear cherry liqueur with a really nice flavor.
This got me to thinking, and I found I had some LoRann cherry flavor. I added 3 drops to the amount of SMC seen on the right with a splash of the liqueur. The left is the before. As you can see, it did not significantly alter the color, but had a nice mild to medium, not overpowering cherry flavor. Using the clear version (link above) would allow you to add as much as you like. The Lorann is slightly "chemically" tasting IMO, but not bad at all, and maybe the natural flavoring would be better. Let us know if you try it .

The reply from yortma gave me a link https://www.silvercloudestates.com/product/Cherry-Extract-Flavor-Flavoring-Natural-Baking-Beverages-Ice-Cream-292.aspx where I can purchase the clear cherry flavoring.
