Would really appreciate any advice on creating these gold polka dots please? They don't quite look like sequins.. do you think gold sequins cut out of fondant then airbrushed gold, and placed on the cake would look similar? Or any other technique?

Thank you!!

They look like gold dragees to me - just Google them.

Those look like dragees placed in a buttercream cake.  I am sure you could do the same with fondant, but would need "glue" to adhere them.

Yeah, I thought of the gold pearls dragees too, for some reason, they appeared painted on or something :) I think adhering gold pearls to fondant will work out great.. thank you so much!!

I agree. The look like dragees pushed in so that they are flush to the icing.

not related to your question, but I think that cake is really pretty, and I just love the couple on the top!
