My cousin and I are starting up a bookkeeping business that caters to the cake business crowd, and we have a few questions about what kinds of needs cake business owners have as opposed to general bookkeeping clients. Would any of you be willing to answer them? I'm not sure if it's better to post them here or send them through private message.
I promise, this is a genuine information search. We're not ready for any clients yet. Not by a long shot.
I don't know that we'd need anything different, other than a system for calculating the cost of different cakes, if someone goes that far into it. If you're running your business like a normal business you'll have the same kind of expense categories that other businesses use. I use GoDaddy bookkeeping and it covers everything I need.
