Piping Tip Used In This Photo...

Hi all, 

Do u know which piping tip was used for the pink 'star' piping. The one with lots of grooves. Those aren't my cupcakes just a photo from Google. LOL plus how do you pipe it? Just hold above @ 90 degrees of cupcake and squeeze? Thanks900_piping-tip-used-in-this-p_903454573f467f34a4a.jpg

It's a French star tip. Wilton #8B or Ateco 869
